The Garrick Papers

Visits to the view the Garrick Papers can be made through booking a Garrick Tour on a day to suit, for groups and individuals.  More detailed research is possible by arrangement. The Garrick Papers are stored and displayed with a collection of artefacts from Angel House, formerly the Angel Inn, Garrick’s birthplace in 1717.

Museum Resource and Learning Centre

This is the central storage facility for the county’s museum collections.

In addition to climate controlled stores which keep the artefacts, costumes and paintings preserved for all to enjoy, this centre is also open to the public for curatorial advice, identifications and drop in visits every Wednesday from 10am to 3pm. Art, archaeology, history, costume, textile and natural science enquiries are welcome.

Appointments to visit the collections for longer periods of research or for group visits to see behind the scenes can also be made by appointment, we are normally available on Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm, excluding bank holidays.
