To mark the 300th anniversary of David Garrick’s birth in Hereford, discover the life and work of David Garrick in a workshop led by Dr. Sylvia Pinches

Garrick’s influence in 18th century theatre, status as 'superstar' and the cult of fame, and aspects of his personal life including book and art collecting and the furnishing of his two homes will be explored using the collection of original David Garrick letters, notes and ephemera held at the MRLC. These collections will be out and available for study and provide a fascinating insight into all aspects of Garrick’s life as actor, producer, dilettante and family man.
